Incident management and support passengers and drivers

At the BMTMC, Network Coordination Centre staff provide real-time incident management and support to TfB’s drivers and buses across Southeast Queensland.

As TfB’s operational communication hub, the Network Coordination Centre is there to ensure the safety of the bus fleet, drivers and passengers, coordinate NightLink services and transport around major public events, and respond to critical incidents.

They also operate Queen Street Bus Station, managing security for passengers and bus drivers; coordinating evacuation procedures and exercises; providing traveller information and service updates; and monitoring vehicle separations and on-time running of buses travelling through the facility.
